Every Raising Stars Gymnastics works through 4 stages. Each mastered skill earns a stamp and XP, each completed stage unlocks a badge — all tracked in the parent portal.
Stage 1 · Foundation
The non-negotiable basics, done properly.
- Backward roll on flat floor — Backward roll to feet on the flat.
- Cartwheel — unassisted — Straight-legged cartwheel, no spot.
- Handstand hold — 3 sec — Kicks up and holds three seconds.
- Full front/side splits — Flat splits on both sides.
Stage 2 · Four Apparatus
A skill signed off on every piece of equipment.
- Cartwheel on low beam — Cartwheel on the low beam with a spot.
- Pullover — unassisted (low bar) — Pullover with no help.
- Cast to horizontal — Cast with straight body to horizontal.
- Handstand flat-back onto mat — Punch to handstand flat-back on the vault stack.
Stage 3 · Power & Flight
Round-offs, walkovers and the first handsprings.
- Round-off + rebound — Round-off with a tight rebound jump.
- Back-walkover — Back-walkover on the floor unassisted.
- Back-handspring with spot — Back-handspring shape with a coach spot.
- Kip progression (glide + shoot) — Glide swing and shoot to the bar.
Stage 4 · Routine Ready
Connected skills and a full showcase routine.
- Back-handspring — unassisted — Back-handspring on the floor, no spot.
- Kip — unassisted — Clean kip on the bar.
- Front handspring vault — Front handspring over the vault.
- Full turn on beam — Full turn on the high beam.

Yes. Raising Stars runs beginner through advanced groups, placed by ability, not just age.
Is there competition?
There's an end-of-course showcase for everyone; competition prep is optional for kids in the top levels.
How often should they train?
Once a week builds skills steadily; two to three sessions suits kids aiming for advanced levels.
